Key learning area (KLA) categories

Create and manage the different Key Learning Areas (KLA) used to classify student events (ACE) within your school.

Status indicators of categories for Key Learning Areas (KLA)

• Inactive: The KLA is not in use.

• Active: The KLA is in use.

• Usage: The number of student events (ACE) using this KLA is indicated.

Example category names for key learning areas (KLA)

• English

• HAPE

• Mathematics

• Physics

• Science

Create a category for key learning areas (KLA)

1. Click Add KLA.

2. Enter Details:

   • Name (required)

3. Click Save.

Modify details of a key learning area (KLA) category

1. Select the KLA name from the list.

2. Make changes.

3. Click Save.

Change the status of a key learning area (KLA) category (Active/Inactive)

To toggle the status between active and inactive, follow these steps:

1. Select the KLA name from the list.

2. Click Make Inactive (to deactivate) or Make Active (to activate).

Note: The button label will update dynamically based on the current status.

Delete a category from key learning areas (KLA)

This action can only be performed for Key Learning Areas that are not currently associated with any student events.

1. Select the KLA name from the list.

2. Click Delete.

3. Confirm the deletion.
