My professional practice days
The My PPD module is your tool for managing Professional Practice Day (PPD) requests. From submitting your initial application to navigating the revision process and receiving approval.
Professional Practice Day (PPD) event request workflow
Your actions:
Submit or update your PPD request:
After submitting your initial request, you can update your PPD details if needed.
Note: Minor updates do not trigger notifications to the PL Manager.
Professional Learning (PL) manager actions:
Approval:
If your request is approved, you will receive an "Approved!" email notification.
Decline with Feedback:
If your request is declined, the PL Manager may provide a "Decline Comment" with suggestions for improvement.
You will receive a decline email, including the manager’s feedback.
Revising your request:
If your request is declined, you can revise and resubmit it based on the feedback provided.
A "Revised Request" notification will be sent to all PL Managers for review.
Post-PPD feedback:
After attending the PPD event, you can add feedback to the PPD record. Your input helps improve future events and planning.
Create a Professional Practice Day (PPD) event request
Click Add PPD.
Enter details:
Select a Focus Area from the drop-down menu options.
Write a Summary:
Provide a brief summary of your chosen focus area and its relevance to your professional development.
Enter time and duration details.
Click Submit to send your request.
The PL Manager will receive a PPD Request email notification.
The status of your request will be updated to Pending Approval.
Filter and search your PPD events
Use the filter options in the top toolbar to set your desired criteria.
Date range: Specify a start and end date to filter results within a specific time period.
Click Search to apply the filters and display the results.
Manage your Professional Practice Day (PPD) event search results
The grid displays your filtered results with action columns for managing individual items. Each action column contains icons that allow you to perform specific tasks.
Icon button states in the action columns
Icons change to indicate status.
Outline icon: Indicates no content has been added.
Filled icon: Indicates content has been added or the action is complete.

Declined
Modify details of your Professional Practice Day (PPD) event request
Click Edit button.
Make your changes.
Click Save.
Important note:
The PL Manager will not be notified automatically when you update your request.
To view your changes, the PL Manager will need to log in and use the Edit PPD button to access your updated PPD record.
Your PPD request: Declined, revised, and approved
Applying for a Professional Practice Day (PPD) event may require negotiation and revisions to your request.
If your PPD request is declined
Receive decline notification:
You will receive a PPD Declined email notification, which may include a Decline Comment with suggestions for revision.
The status of your request will change to Declined.
Revise your PPD request:
Click the Edit PPD button.
The Edit Professional Practice Day window will appear.
Make the necessary changes to your request based on the feedback provided.
Click the Save & Submit button.
Revised request notification:
The PL manager will receive a PPD Revised Request email notification.
They will review your revised request and decide whether to approve or decline it.
If your PPD request is approved
Receive approval notification:
You will receive a PPD Approved! email notification.
The status of your request will change to Approved.
No further action required:
Once approved, the PPD details can no longer be edited.
Your request is complete, and no further action is needed.
Post PPD event feedback
After attending a Professional Practice Day (PPD) event, you can provide feedback, reflections, and evaluations (if applicable).
Add feedback for your Professional Practice Day (PPD) event
Click Add feedback icon button.
Enter your feedback comments.
Click Save.
Your feedback will be saved with your PPD record and can be viewed by all PL Managers.
Add reflection for your Professional Practice Day (PPD) event
Click Add reflection icon button.
Enter your reflection comments.
Click Save.
Reflection comments are saved for your personal records only and are not shared with others.
Add evaluation for your Professional Practice Day (PPD) event
Only applicable to NSW schools
Click Add evaluation icon button.
Enter your detailed PL program reflection and evaluation comments.
Click Save.
