Professional learning reports

PL Managers can generate a variety of reports to stay informed and make data-driven decisions.

The PL Reports module includes the following sections:

  • Event Summary (default view)

  • Budget Group Cost

  • Calendar Report

  • Individual Staff History

  • All Staff History

  • Review Priorities

  • Group History

  • Feedback Pending

Event Summary section

Displays all Professional Learning (PL) events within a selected date range, organised by PL category. Use this section to search for and select the PL events you want to include in the event summary report.

Filter and search Professional Learning (PL) events by category
  1. Use the filter options in the top toolbar to set your desired criteria.

    • Filter category (optional): Select from the dropdown menu to refine search.

    • Date range: Specify a start and end date to filter results within a specific time period.

    • Select the checkboxes corresponding to the status of the events you want to include, helping you refine and filter the results effectively.

  2. Click Search to apply the filters and display the results.

Download a summary of professional learning (PL) events as a PDF

Provides comprehensive details about the selected PL events and their participants.

  1. Click Download event summary.

  2. Locate the downloaded file (usually in your "Downloads" folder).

  3. Open the PDF in your default PDF viewer (e.g., Adobe Acrobat, Preview, or a web browser).

  4. Print if needed.

  1. Click Export.

  2. Locate the downloaded file (usually in your "Downloads" folder).

  3. Open the file using a spreadsheet application (e.g., Microsoft Excel).

  4. Print if needed.

  1. Click View chart.

  2. The chart provides a summary of the Total Cost and Total Hours for each Professional Learning (PL) category.

The grid displays your filtered results, organised by Professional Learning (PL) category.

Status indicators for Professional Learning (PL) events
  • Active

  • Requested

  • Deleted

Totals of costs for Professional Learning (PL) events
  • Costing is presented for categories of Professional Learning (PL) events.

  • A summary of costs for each category is displayed at the end of the respective columns.

  • The Total Costs for all categories are displayed at the bottom of the columns.


Budget Group Cost section

Displays all Professional Learning (PL) events within a selected date range, organised by PL budget group. Use this section to search for and select the PL events you want to include in the event costing report.

    • Filter budget group (optional): Select from the dropdown menu to refine search.

    • Date range: Specify a start and end date to filter results within a specific time period.

    • Select the checkboxes corresponding to the status of the events you want to include, helping you refine and filter the results effectively.

  2. Click Search to apply the filters and display the results.

Download a summary of professional learning (PL) events as a PDF

Provides a chronological list of Professional Learning (PL) events, complete with detailed costing information for comprehensive analysis and record-keeping.

  1. Click Download event summary.

  2. Locate the downloaded file (usually in your "Downloads" folder).

  3. Open the PDF in your default PDF viewer (e.g., Adobe Acrobat, Preview, or a web browser).

  4. Print if needed.

Individual Staff History section

    • Staff member: Select from the dropdown menu to refine search.

    • Date range: Specify a start and end date to filter results within a specific time period.

    • Select the checkboxes corresponding to the attendance status of the events you want to include, helping you refine and filter the results effectively.

  2. Click Search to apply the filters and display the results.

Export a staff member's professional learning (PL) events as a spreadsheet
  1. Click Export.

  2. Select either Excel - Staff History.

  3. Locate the downloaded file (usually in your "Downloads" folder).

  4. Open the file using a spreadsheet application (e.g., Microsoft Excel).

  5. Print if needed.

Download a professional learning (PL) certificate as a PDF

Download a PDF certificate for the staff member, listing attended PL events within the selected date range, including hours for each event.

  1. Click Export.

  2. Select PDF - Certificate from the menu options.

  3. Locate the downloaded file (usually in your "Downloads" folder).

  4. Open the PDF in your default PDF viewer (e.g., Adobe Acrobat, Preview, or a web browser).

  5. Print if needed.

Download a PDF report for CECV accreditation.

  1. Click Export.

  2. Select PDF - CECV report from the menu options.

  3. Locate the downloaded file (usually in your "Downloads" folder).

  5. Print if needed.

Status indicators for Australian Professional Standards for Teachers

This key provides an overview of all the APST standards that apply to the Professional Learning (PL) event.

  • A key is displayed for each standard.

  • Hover over a standard to view its description.

Color Indicators:

  • By default, each standard is highlighted in red.

  • Standards relevant to the Professional Learning (PL) event are highlighted in green for easy identification.

This report lists Professional Learning (PL) priorities entered by staff members during the selected review period.

Send email reminders for pending feedback on Professional Learning (PL) events
  1. Click Email.

  2. Select the recipients who need to provide feedback.

  3. Enter the email details, including a clear message reminding them to submit their feedback.

  4. Click Send.

Use Email button in the toolbar to send emails to selected staff members.
